Breakfast for Babies

JT and I participated in the 6th annual Breakfast for Babies. First, over the past 5 years, this event has raised over 60k and last year's event raised 16k. So this year's goal was to beat that, and we did! Thanks to Chappy's Deli, all the volunteers and the people who came. And boy did they come! We raised over 17k and served almost 3000 breakfasts! It was a great success and all the money raised goes to the March of Dimes. I love this event because it is so exciting to see the joy it brings people to give back. So many folks gave extra and we are appreciative and know how hard times are right now for a lot of folks. It touches your soul to give back and it touches mine to be a witness to it. You never know when it could be your family who has to endure a premature birth.

There are so many charities out there that need volunteers and funds. Pick one and roll up your sleeves and donate you time - get the kids involved! Teach them how to give back - what a legacy to leave them!
